In the year 2018, the Cozy restaurant opened its doors, the result of a joint effort between two partners, chefs with extensive experience in the fields of catering and hospitality. Centralmed has been supporting this project, which has always aimed for excellence, from the very beginning. With a special focus on food safety, hygiene, and workplace safety, this partnership continues to prove to be very fruitful.
What is Cozy and what was its challenge?
Located in Campolide, a typical Lisbon neighborhood, the Cozy restaurant has taken on the fundamental mission of becoming “a benchmark,” thus resisting the temptation to become just another “trendy restaurant.” This is according to Tiago Vaz Santos, chef and managing partner, who adds: “Every day we prepare good food, comfort food, which takes us back to childhood memories, to the smells of our grandmothers’ kitchens, with a contemporary presentation.”
Their core identity is the concept of “shared cuisine.” Aiming to provide moments of conviviality and pleasure at the table, they assert that each dish at Cozy is prepared with genuine passion for cooking. “This love is infused into the meals we prepare for consumption in the restaurant, as well as for the catering and events we participate in,” concludes Tiago Vaz Santos.
A constant presence since the establishment’s inception, Cozy defines Centralmed’s role as “invaluable.” From monitoring the implementation processes for the kitchen and dining room prior to opening, to providing safety training for employees and occupational health services, trust is undoubtedly the key ingredient in this partnership.
