First Aid II

Description

The aim is for trainees to apply effective first aid techniques, based on the recommendations of the Portuguese Resuscitation Council (CPR), for Basic Life Support (BLS) procedures.

Target Audience

All employees with responsibilities in rescue and salvage teams, or who may provide support in case of the need for first aid.

Program Content

General Principles of First Aid
Integrated Medical Emergency System (SIEM)
Risks for the Rescuer
Victim Examination: Primary and secondary examination
Airway Obstruction
Basic Life Support (BLS)
Recovery Position (PLS)
Special situations: Fainting, Electrocution, Respiratory difficulty.
